Vocal Expressions will be joining Hade Edge Band at the Holme Christmas lights switch between 6 and 7 pm, followed by singing in the Fleece between 7-8pm.

This year we are putting on a joint Christmas concert with the Holme Valley Orchestra at St David’s Hall Holmbridge. 3pm Saturday 14th December.

To help you get that Christmassy feeling while you do your shopping members of Vocal Expressions will be singing some of your Christmas favourites in Holmfirth Co-op on Saturday 7th December. Pause a while and listen, or join in with us if you feel like it.

The Choir has been invited to sing a selection of Christmas songs at the Christmas Fayre.

Get in the mood for Christmas and do a spot of shopping at the Christmas Market with lots of your Christmas favourites performed by the choir.

Ladies; Vocal Expressions would love you to join us for our second ‘Sing Your Heart Out’ event.

A free fun evening where you can come along and sing with us on Thursday 25th July at St David’s Hall, Holmbridge 7:30pm-9:30pm. Just turn up. There is no need to book.

The first one was a great success and enjoyed by everyone who came along. So we are doing it again! Leave your everyday worries behind and join us to sing songs you’ll know and love. We are a friendly bunch of ladies who just enjoy singing together and you will be made very welcome.

You don’t need to read music or be able to sing beautifully, so why not come along and experience the fun and joy of singing together.

Come along and hear Vocal Expressions perform a wide variety of music, including a beautiful song written by the last Queen of Hawaii!

The choir is excited to be taking part in the Holmfirth Arts Festival Big Weekend on 15th June.

We will be one of the “musical performances showcasing the great talent of the Holme Valley’s homegrown musicians.”

We will be performing in Holmside Gardens’s between 12:30 and 1pm, so please come along and support us.

Vocal Expressions are pleased to have been invited to sing at the Dementia Information Day to be held at the ECO Power Stadium, Doncaster on May 17th. The day will consist of talks, stalls, break out rooms etc to support and provide information to people living with dementia and their carers. The choir will provide 20 minutes of music with songs from our repertoire, and sing a song learnt especially for the event entitled “ Thank You for Being a Friend”.

Join us for our spring concert at the Methodist Church in Holmfirth with special guest, Thom Meredith. We are currently working hard (and having fun) rehearsing a variety of fantastic music. So come along and be entertained and share in the joy of live music.

An afternoon concert at Holmfirth High School, celebrating Christmas, and highlighting the talents of pupils of the school.

As well as some traditional carols, Vocal Expressions will be performing some well known Christmas pieces, but not quite as you know them, there will be the chance to join in with some carols, if you wish, and VE will be providing their usual delicious refreshments.

The venue will be Covid Secure and doors at either end of the hall will be open throughout – so wrap up warmly!

The Choir will sing without face coverings when performing but it is hoped that as many of the audience as possible will wear face coverings.
